Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Caretaker to maintain our buildings and facilities, ensuring they are secure, functional, and compliant with Health & Safety standards. The role is based at a senior school in Clacton, within our Facilities Management team.
Your responsibilities include routine maintenance, managing repairs, enforcing security protocols, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness. The shift pattern is a two-week rota: Week 1 - 6am to 2pm, Monday to Friday; Week 2 - 11am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.
Key duties:
* Ensure security of school buildings and grounds through locking, unlocking, patrols, and monitoring.
* Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance according to schedules and skills.
* Coordinate access and liaise with service providers for remedial or scheduled work.
* Carry out minor repairs and decoration works.
* Respond to emergencies such as floods or bodily fluids, following prescribed procedures.
* Check BMS systems, boilers, hot water, pest inspections, drains, and plant rooms.
* Perform daily tasks like litter picking, bin emptying, sweeping, and toilet cleaning.
Candidate profile:
* General handyperson skills including DIY, minor plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
* Good customer service skills.
* A friendly and approachable personality.
* Ability to liaise with external service providers.
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
