We’re working with a national IFA firm who are looking to appoint an Operations Manager (finance) to oversee income monitoring, payment accuracy, and related operational finance activities. The role focuses on ensuring that income streams are properly identified, validated, and reported, while maintaining clear oversight of adviser-related payments.
This position sits within a central finance function and involves close collaboration with operational and support teams to maintain consistent and reliable income processes.
Role & Responsibilities: 📋
Income Oversight
* Monitor and review income received from various sources to ensure it is complete and accurate
* Reconcile internal records against external documentation and financial records
* Investigate differences and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
* Support regular reporting activities by providing reliable income data
* Maintain appropriate controls around income recognition and tracking
Adviser Payment Administration
* Oversee calculations relating to adviser earnings and agreed payment arrangements
* Ensure payments are processed accurately and align with underlying income
* Respond to queries relating to income allocation and remuneration calculations
* Maintain clear records of payment methodologies and assumptions
Data & Process Management
* Manage income-related data within operational and finance systems
* Ensure data used for reporting and payment purposes is accurate and consistent
* Support improvements to reporting tools, controls, and workflows
* Assist in maintaining documented procedures to support internal requirements
Ongoing Improvement
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and clarity within income processes
* Support review and standardisation of income practices across the business
* Contribute to ad-hoc analysis relating to income performance and cost allocation
Do you have the following to apply? ✅
* Experience in an operations, reconciliation, or finance support role within an IFA or Wealth Management firm
* Familiarity with adviser charging structures, fees, or commission-based income
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data
