The Nightingale Neighbourhood Team is a fast-paced, forward-thinking, friendly, hardworking, and dynamic team that is continuously looking to improve and develop as the demand for our services changes.
We are seeking to appoint an administration assistant to support our team, which includes Community Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Healthcare Assistants, and Administrators working with GP and Social Care colleagues.
We will provide resources to help you develop and progress, along with flexibility, continual professional development, and a wide range of wellbeing and support options.
If you would like to discuss informally whether this is the right role for you, please contact the Recruiting Manager, whose details can be found at the top right-hand side of the advert.
This is a full-time opportunity, including being part of a bank holiday and weekend rota. The service is busy and each day varies.
Your main role will be to be the first point of contact for patient telephone calls and to manage a busy inbox. You will need to take messages and referrals clearly and use initiative to handle confidential and sensitive information, which can sometimes be distressing.
On rotation, you will also undertake reception duties, manage an online prescription service—including packing orders placed by staff for patients—and action reports when required.
You will support the wider team with administrative tasks, including maintaining our Electronic Patient Record System (EMIS), ensuring all information is accurate and concise, actioning referrals, and planning home visits.
You will also handle calls and support clinical team members with sharing patient information and using information technology.
You must have excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
