Working From_ is looking for a Tech Executive to join the team!
We have always done coworking...Since 2006 The Hoxton has been home to laptop savvy workers making use of super-fast Wi-Fi and comfy sofas as they hustle away in a place that feels like home. So, it feels only natural for us to take our love for great experiences and create a space that offers everything you need to do your (other) day job or take over the world, in our stylish and comfortable surroundings.
Working From opened its doors in Feb 2020…. There’s something for everyone. Think hot-desking, open studios, dedicated offices, events & wellness spaces, a member café & bar and a stimulating events programme – all with stunning views over the Thames.
As Tech Executive you’d be essential in running the day-to-day IT operations of our flagship Hotel/Coworking space The Hoxton Southwark.
This is an influential role in the Tech team here and we’re looking for an experienced individual who relishes the opportunity to really take ownership of all things Tech whilst keeping us secure and thinking about best practise.
Job Description
What you’ll do…
IT Projects
1. Previous experience contributing to the execution of complex IT projects through to completion – Systems Implementations, integrations.
2. Hotel/Bar/Restaurant Openings and all of the technology involved.
3. The ability to recommend and implement new technologies based on market leading trends.
4. Managing and leveraging third party support to deliver the projects.
Security
5. Ensuring that we are GDPR and PCI compliant from a networking perspective.
6. Thinking about how we can further improve network and application security as we scale the business.
7. Experience designing and managing complex network environments with multiple points of interconnectivity and WAN links.
Server / Workstation Management
8. Understanding how to manage multiple endpoints with many different OS flavours
9. Managing multiple servers across the site.
10. Working with Microsoft Office 365/Azure to manage multiple endpoints.
11. Patch Management for Servers & Workstations.
12. Build Management, including laptop, desktop and upgrades.
13. Support network at a base level.
Management
14. Ensuring that IT issues are solved quickly by yourself or third-party support.
15. Ensuring that all Systems are well managed (Administration/Patching/Upgrades).
16. Involvement in the yearly budget process, differentiation between CAPEX/OPEX.
17. Assisting with new starter and leaver process when needed.
18. Oversee mobile phone contract management with HOD's.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for…
19. Qualified IT professional (MCPs preferred)
20. Previous experience in IT across multiple sites.
21. Basic Networking - TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs etc.
22. Experience in managing Apple devices.
23. Experience with a wide spectrum of Tech kit from phone systems to firewalls and beyond.
24. Enthusiastic about Tech in general plus all developments in the Tech world.
25. Keen to take ownership of and pride in your work; a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to seeing work through and delivering results.
26. Creating an atmosphere where people can be productive, authentic to who they are and enjoy what they do.
27. Highly organised and detail orientated; someone you can rely on to know the answers, or where to find them.
28. Enthusiastic, confident and warm; you want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun with it along the way.
