Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Contract and hours
This is a permanent post working 18.5 hours per week; working pattern to be negotiated with successful candidate.
Please note that the salary is pro-rata for part time posts.
Role and responsibilities
* Work as part of a team to assist with medical and surgical Endoscopy services within Inverclyde Royal Hospital.
* Be responsible for the receipt and management of all referrals, liaising with medical and nursing staff and adhering to GG&C waiting list policy.
* Plan management for patients with clinicians, arrange admissions, ensure the inpatient list is up to date and ready for theatre.
* Deal with telephone enquiries from internal/external agencies, liaising with ward staff to ensure all relevant information is provided for patients to be admitted from ward.
