We’re partnering with a leading technology focused pensions consultancy that’s expanding into new territories and continuing to win new work across both private and public sector schemes.
As a result, they’re growing their specialist Calculations team and are looking for technically strong pensions professionals who enjoy working where scheme rules, data, and technology intersect.

What you’ll actually be doing:
You’ll sit at the heart of calculation and implementation delivery.
This isn’t pensions administration. It’s technical, analytical and client-focused solution development that would see you taking on the following:
* Designing, developing and validating complex DB pension benefit calculations
* Translating scheme rules into logical, system-ready calculation specifications
* Writing and optimising SQL to interrogate, manipulate and validate pensions data
* Supporting implementations, data migrations and system configuration
* Investigating complex calculation or data anomalies
* Collaborating across technical, operational and client teams
* Contributing to automation and continuous improvement initiatives
From requirements gathering to testing, deployment and post-go-live support you’ll be a key voice across the full delivery lifecycle.
Due to the organic growth of our client's operations, we have two opportunities available across:
Private Sector Schemes:
Working across a range of occupational DB schemes, supporting new client onboarding and complex benefit structures.
Public Sector Schemes:
Supporting large, structured schemes with unique regulatory and benefit frameworks, requiring detailed rule interpretation and precise calculation logic.

What we are looking for:
* Strong Defined Benefit pensions experience
* Experience in pensions calculations or implementation
* Strong SQL skills (essential)
* Ability to interpret complex scheme rules and turn them into robust technical solutions
* Analytical mindset with a natural curiosity for solving problems
* Comfortable working in collaborative, project-led environments
