Religious Studies Teacher – QTS Qualified
Teach Belief, Culture, and Ethical Thinking
A forward-thinking secondary school in Brent is looking for a committed Religious Studies Teacher. This QTS-qualified role is ideal for someone who wants to help students explore belief systems, ethical questions, and cultural diversity.
The Role
You’ll teach Religious Studies across KS3 and KS4. The school values respectful discussion, tolerance, and critical inquiry. You'll guide students through key worldviews and support academic and personal growth.
Responsibilities Include:
Deliver thoughtful and balanced RS lessons
Encourage discussion around belief, values, and ethics
Prepare students for GCSE RS assessments
Promote respect, curiosity, and philosophical thinking
Contribute to a dynamic Humanities faculty
QTS and a degree in RS, Theology, or Philosophy
Ability to teach students of different abilities
Strong communication and subject knowledge
Professional and supportive teaching approach
Familiarity with GCSE RS specifications
Experience in pastoral or wellbeing initiatives
Involvement in assemblies or school dialogue forums
