Based in Crawley Down, West Sussex, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician with strong technical knowledge who is ready to support and manage a busy workshop within a reputable independent specialist.

3. Monday to Friday working hours from 08:30am to 18:00pm, with no weekends

Key duties as a Workshop Controller:
8. Leading workshop operations and ensuring smooth daily workflow
9. Allocating jobs to technicians effectively to optimise productivity
10. Supporting and mentoring technicians with technical issues and guidance
11. Liaising with service advisors to maintain high standards of customer service
12. Managing workshop targets, KPIs, and quality control
13. Supporting training and development of less experienced staff
14. Assisting in maintaining vehicle repair standards and technical accuracy
The ideal candidate for this Workshop Controller position:
15. Has a solid technical background, ideally with experience as a Technician or Master Technician
16. Possesses excellent organisational and leadership skills
17. Is confident supporting technicians and resolving technical issues
18. Has experience working with various vehicle makes, including German brands (advantageous but not essential)
19. Is looking to step away from hands-on repair work but wants to stay involved in technical aspects of automotive repair
20. Is proactive, team-focused, and dedicated to high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
