A well-established, product-led tech company building digital experiences used by millions, is looking for a Product Security Engineer. You will be working closely with engineers, solving real problems and improving security by design.
This role sits in the middle of engineering and security. You’ll partner with Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, DevOps/SREs, and senior technical stakeholders across two well-known brands, helping teams ship secure, scalable platforms.
What you’ll be doing
* Acting as a trusted security partner to engineering teams and managers
* Working with stakeholders to identify risks, improve visibility, and ensure security initiatives are reflected in engineering roadmaps
* Advising on secure design and build practices across applications and platforms
* Supporting initiatives to improve platform security maturity (e.g. visibility, encryption, secure deployment patterns)
* Providing hands‑on, practical guidance - from application security reviews to platform‑level discussions with DevOps/SRE teams
* Helping teams understand why something matters, not just what to fix
One day you might be deep in application code with a software engineer, the next you’ll be advising on a platform or infrastructure issue. This is a true consultative product security role.
The Tech Stack
* Cloud: AWS and Azure - experience with either is fine
* Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and similar tooling
* Security tooling: SAST / DAST integrated into CI/CD pipelines
* Everything is treated as code — including security
What we’re looking for
* Strong application security fundamentals — you can confidently explain security issues to software engineers and earn credibility
* Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or Azure preferred)
* Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and how modern platforms are deployed
* Understanding of SAST and DAST tools, their strengths, and how they fit into CI/CD
* Ability to think critically about risk: What are the risks? What testing is needed? Who needs to be involved?
* Excellent communication skills — you’re comfortable working with engineers, managers, and senior technical leaders
* Curiosity and a desire to keep learning (this role rewards people who ask good questions)
Nice to have (but not essential)
* Terraform experience
* Exposure to both AWS and Azure
* Personal cloud or security projects
* Experience defining security gates before production releases
What makes someone successful here
Product security success in this team comes from curiosity, collaboration, and pragmatism.
If you have solid application security experience, good communication skills, and a genuine interest in how modern platforms are built, you’ll be in a great position to succeed.
