Job Description:
Job Summary: To become an integral part of the PowerGen Technical Support team. Providing technical support across all aspects of Rolls-Royce Solutions power generation products and associated systems, from conception to end of life. Responsibilities include technical support for sales, aftersales, and parts inquiries, supporting the wider PowerGen Business unit as needed. The primary product range includes Diesel, Gas power generation, mtu KPP, and Battery Energy Storage Systems. Willingness to learn emerging products is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote a zero harm culture and meet HSQE requirements.
* Ensure first-class customer liaison and fulfill technical support requests.
* Provide technical support for sales solutions, aftersales, and end-user/customer support on electrical, mechanical, and control systems within the UK, Ireland, and overseas.
* Maintain project technical files and support design, testing, and commissioning of control circuits.
* Keep accurate records of tasks and lead resolution of technical issues.
* Support development of work instructions, processes, and spare parts database.
* Provide technical reports and presentations as needed.
* Write method statements and support risk assessments.
* Build relationships with internal departments, customers, and partners.
* Attend customer testing and deliver training when required.
* Lead development of new technical solutions and continually improve technical competence and processes.
* Support the service team with technical support, including site visits.
Person Profile:
* Enthusiastic with good communication skills, able to work independently and in a team.
* Qualified or willing to work towards MTU power generation products and related systems.
* Mechanical and electrical experience required.
* Willing to travel within the UK, ROI, and occasionally overseas.
* Office-based role with some travel; disciplined and high-standard communicator.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proficient in MS Office, SAP, C4S, CCC, MTU Go Care, and related software.
* Full UK driving license and passport.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Strong data analysis, literacy, and numeracy skills.
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
* Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar; willing to pursue professional registration.
* GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
