Job Description
Land Surveyor
Are you a skilled Land Surveyor seeking an exciting new opportunity? Join our dynamic team at our Irvine office, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive topographical and construction survey projects across Scotland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Land Surveyor to play a vital role in supporting critical infrastructure and development projects. You'll be responsible for conducting comprehensive topographical, boundary, and construction surveys across urban, rural, and industrial environments throughout the UK, utilising advanced total stations, GPS equipment, levels, and laser scanning technology on projects ranging from small residential developments to major infrastructure schemes. You'll work closely with our engineering and construction teams and be a key part of delivering accurate and precise survey operations that ensure project success and safety.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
* Conducting topographical and construction surveys using cutting-edge equipment
* Processing survey data and generating reports that meet client specifications
* Engaging with clients and ensuring project requirements are met
* Supervising and mentoring Junior Surveyors and Technicians
* Working closely with Utility and Hydrographic Survey teams on multi-disciplinary projects
Location
Candidates must live within (or be willing to relocate to) a commutable distance of the company’s offices in Irvine.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
* Experience in land surveying, with knowledge of survey standards and total station/GPS equipment operation
* Understanding of AutoCAD and survey data processing software
* ProQual Level 3 Certificate in Land Surveying (desirable)
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Experience with survey processing software (desirable, but training provided)
* A detail-oriented, self-motivated team player with problem-solving skills
