A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Proposals Manager, you will be accountable for developing techno-commercial proposals for the Aero Gas Turbine (AGT) Aftermarket Business on a global scale. You will lead the process from the receipt of the request for quotation, engaging various collaborators within the organisation, including engineering, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, and planning, to gather the vital inputs for the final proposal. Your responsibilities will include structuring the pricing matrix and progressing the case for internal approval. Additionally, you will support negotiations with customers and, upon successful receipt of an order, perform the handover of the project to the execution team.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Collaborate with Regional Sales to identify customer project requirements related to Gas Turbine, Power Turbine, Package upgrades, overhauls, and controls upgrades.
2. Support Regional Sales in pursuing harmonised solutions projects and assist in developing sales strategies to win bids.
3. Provide Project Management support for the development of comprehensive sales proposals, leading to orders for gas turbine engines, package auxiliary equipment, and electric generator applications.
4. Develop cost and margin analysis, business risk assessments, and bid approval documentation required by Business Approval Authorities.
5. Supervise the project handover process from bid preparation to execution within the Region and Business Unit.
6. Drive continuous improvement of internal processes to improve efficiency in bid management
What You Bring
7. An engineering or business administration degree or equivalent experience is required.
8. 5+ years of successful experience in Project Management, Sales, Proposals, or Application Engineering within the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, or Service industry; experience with Gas Turbines is preferred.
9. Excellent oral and written communication skills for internal and external organisations.
10. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
11. Willingness to travel up to 15%.
