Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Electricians interested in a full time, permanent position based at HMP Holme House.
Working as part of a team, you will carry out a crucial role by ensuring planned and reactive maintenance work is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
Role Profile & Responsibilities
Hours: 39 hours per week.o Rolling 3-week shift pattern, more information provided upon request.
Planned and preventative electrical maintenance.
Diagnosing and replacing failed domestic electrical components.
Responding to breakdowns ensuring all works are carried out under the appropriate Safe System of work and in a timely manner.
Actively fault finding / problem solving on domestic electrical systems across the prison.
Undertaking electrical installation activities in accordance with the design provided and IET Wiring Regulations.
Testing and inspecting electrical installations in accordance with the current IEE wiring regulations.
Monitoring and ordering critical spares for all electrical services.
Other tasks as required by the Site.
This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zerocarbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
Desired Applicant Profile
Ideally commercial electrical experience.
Full UK driving licence.
Right to work in the UK - our client cannot offer sponsorship.
Appropriate technical qualification eg City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above.
Ideally 18th edition wiring regulations, although if you have 17th our client will sponsor you to upgrade).
Experience of electrical maintenance activities, general distribution and installation and testing.
Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at work Regulations.
Able to pass security clearances.
