Behaviour Mentor – SEN Schools | Bristol & Surrounding Areas
Full-Time | Long-Term | Term Time Only | Immediate Start
Hours: 08:30–15:30 | Salary: £13.68 per hour (PAYE, dependent on experience and training)

Vision for Education is working with SEN schools across Bristol and the surrounding areas who are looking to take on a dedicated behaviour mentor to support children and young people with behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
The behaviour mentor role:
1. Full-time, long-term behaviour mentor position in SEN schools
2. Term time only, working 08:30–15:30 as a behaviour mentor
3. Supporting pupils with autism, SEMH, and additional needs as a behaviour mentor
4. Providing 1:1 behaviour support as a behaviour mentor
5. Helping pupils manage emotions, routines, and behaviour day to day
6. Working closely with teachers and support staff as a behaviour mentor
7. Salary of £13.68 per hour (PAYE)
We’re looking for a behaviour mentor who:
8. Wants a fulfilling, hands-on role as a behaviour mentor
9. Is flexible, reliable, and calm under pressure as a behaviour mentor
10. Has access to a vehicle
11. Is patient, empathetic, and confident in a behaviour mentor role
12. Can build trust and positive relationships as a behaviour mentor
13. Works well within a school team as a behaviour mentor
14. Understands safeguarding and professional boundaries
To be considered as a behaviour mentor, you will:
15. Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
16. Be keen to complete training and ongoing CPD as a behaviour mentor
17. Be enthusiastic about learning new skills within a behaviour mentor role
18. Be willing to pay for an Enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service
19. Have experience in education, childcare, or care work (helpful, but not essential)
