Salary
* £37k - £49k depending on the level of experience.
* The role also attracts a non‑contractual 14% bonus awarded annually.
Your Role In Our Team
* Working as part of the CUK Academy Team, the Technical Instructor (mid‑level) is responsible for delivery of the apprenticeship programme across the dealer network.
* The role requires solid technical knowledge and teaching ability to ensure effective learning outcomes.
* Main Duties:
o Training Course Development
+ Plan and prepare training courses on agricultural machinery and associated technologies and/or related topics for both face‑to‑face and virtual training.
+ Develop and update training materials to reflect current products, processes and industry standards.
+ Support the continuous improvement of training programmes based on feedback and industry trends.
+ Support on global academy projects and topics.
o Training Course Delivery
+ Deliver training courses on agricultural machinery and associated technologies.
+ Assess delegates’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
+ Deliver training courses in a safe and effective learning environment.
+ Maintain safety standards during training sessions.
+ Actively monitor the welfare and safeguarding of delegates.
+ Actively support and promote equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion to ensure no learner is discriminated against.
o Stakeholder Engagement
+ Engage with delegates to provide guidance and answer any technical questions.
+ Collaborate with product development and service teams to ensure training content accuracy.
+ Be professional when liaising with external stakeholders. Build rapport with delegates, customers and dealers.
o Team Development
+ Have full working knowledge of agricultural machinery products and technical processes.
+ Be active, involved in and take part in continuous professional development sessions.
+ Work towards and complete relevant teaching qualifications.
Your Profile
* Experience
o Experience working within the agricultural engineering industry or similar engineering background.
o Experience of training delivery is highly desirable but not essential.
o An understanding or interest in the agricultural industry is desirable to keep up to date on industry challenges.
o Specialism for one product group would be advantageous, e.g., Tractors or Foragers.
* Skills and Knowledge
o Achieved a Level 3 in Land‑Based Engineering or an equivalent Engineering qualification.
o Proficient with Microsoft Office programmes such as Teams and PowerPoint.
o Awareness and understanding of health and safety and related procedures.
o The ability to work on your own initiative as well as positively contributing to teamwork is essential.
* Communication
o Positive attitude and flexible mindset to adapt to daily requirements.
o Be confident and approachable to support learners.
o Strong communication skills are imperative to be able to work with cross‑functional teams and external parties.
* Organisation
o Motivated to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
o Strong attention to detail is essential.
