Job Title: Youth Justice Practitioner Location: Merseyside (Local Authority) Contract: Full-time, Temporary (initial 3–6 months) Rate: £23-£25 per hour (dependent on experience) We're currently supporting a local authority in Merseyside in their search for an experienced Youth Justice Practitioner to join their Youth Offending Service. This is a frontline role focused on supporting young people involved in the justice system, with the aim of reducing reoffending and improving long-term outcomes. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team working across statutory and early intervention services, using evidence-based approaches to engage young people, assess risk and vulnerability, and deliver meaningful change. Key responsibilities: * Hold a caseload of young people subject to court orders and out-of-court disposals * Complete AssetPlus assessments and develop personalised intervention plans * Work collaboratively with families, schools, police, social care, and other agencies * Contribute to reports for court and multi-agency panels * Support young people to access education, training, and positive activities * Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding and public protection protocols About you: * Experience working in youth justice, youth offending, or a related setting * Confident using the AssetPlus framework (or similar assessment tools) * Skilled in engaging young people with complex needs * Comfortable working within multi-agency safeguarding structures * Enhanced DBS (preferably on the update service) If you're looking for a role where you can make a direct impact on young lives — and contribute to a supportive, experienced team — we'd like to hear from you.
