Job Purpose
To deliver commissioning projects that fully comply with national legal requirements, meet the Client's specifications, technical standards, and applicable regulations. Provide expert commissionability input throughout the concept, detailed design, and construction phases to ensure seamless and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the Commissioning Strategy in alignment with Company, Client, and project requirements.
Act as the primary point of contact for the Company, Client, and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
Plan, assess, and manage all activities to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with relevant Company and Client standards, policies, and procedures.
Champion Company initiatives such as “People Who Do The Right Thing” and “People Who Lead Safely” .
Secure and organise adequate resources to deliver the contracted scope of work efficiently.
Oversee work execution to meet required technical and quality standards, ensuring ‘right first time' delivery.
Ensure Safe Systems of Work, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements, are prepared and implemented to facilitate effective supervision and safe task completion.
Manage and monitor subcontractors where applicable, maintaining high performance and compliance standards.
Review training and competency records to confirm personnel, including subcontractors, are suitably qualified and competent for their assigned tasks.
Provide regular reports and performance data demonstrating compliance with Safety, Quality, Time, and Cost targets.
Conduct routine workplace inspections to verify adherence to Company and Client standards.
Academic Requirements
Vocational Qualification Level 6 / Bachelor's Degree / SVQ Level 4
Membership of a recognised Engineering Institution
Or
NVQ Level 4 / HNC-HND / SVQ Level 3 with relevant experience
Membership of a recognised Engineering Institution
Specific Requirements
IOSH Managing Safely certification
Experience
Proven track record in managing complex commissioning projects within highly regulated environments, preferably within the nuclear sector.

Positions Available: 3
Security Clearance: All candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance. BPSS clearance is acceptable at the start, provided SC clearance is underway.
Residency Requirement: Applicants must have lived and worked in the UK for the past five years.
Location: Burghfield - RG30 3RR
Working Pattern
Full-time, site-based role – 11 shifts on, 3 shifts off.
Note: This role will commence on day shifts and is likely to transition to night shifts in due course.
All workers must hold a valid CSCS/ECS card prior to starting.
