KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* To work alongside the ALNCo to provide educational programmes for the Enhanced ALN Provision
* To offer support to mainstream pupils with Social Communication Difficulties / ASD within the school
* To work on the agreed IDP outcomes of pupils
* To work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to ensure that pupils in the School Based Enhanced Provision experience a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum based upon pupils' individual needs
* To support staff development by discussion with colleagues concerning the ongoing needs and appropriate strategies to support pupils with ALN
* To meet with parents / carers and to discuss ongoing needs and appropriate strategies to support their child at home
* Have an understanding of pupil development, being able to make excellent relationships
* Take ownership of evidencing the improvement of outcomes for all learners
* Attend events, supporting the school and community
* Have a commitment to continued professional development for yourself and others
* The successful candidate should:
* Have a track record for working with pupils with ALN
* Show enthusiasm and commitment for working in partnership with children, staff, governors, parents and the local community
* Have some understanding of processes involving children in care, child protection and safeguarding and be committed to working in partnership with other agencies
* Possibly have some experience working with multi-agencies in relation to Wellbeing and ALN
* Have an innovative, collaborative and creative approach
* Be committed to high standards of learning
* Have high expectations that motivate, support and challenge staff and pupils alike
* Have excellent inter-personal and organisational skills
* Be flexible and forward thinking in your approach
