Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technician
Salary: £45,407 (incl. shift premium) + bonus + overtime
A leading manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join its shift engineering team, supporting a modern, fast-paced production environment.
The Role
Working a 3-shift rota (Mon–Fri, 38 hours), you’ll provide hands-on maintenance support to keep production running efficiently and safely.
Shift Pattern
* Days / Backs / Nights rotation
* Mon–Thurs: 6–2 / 2–10 / 10–6
* Fri: 6–12 / 12–6 / 6–12
* Paid breaks included
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high standards of Health & Safety
* Carry out reactive and planned maintenance (PPM)
* Fault find and repair mechanical equipment (with basic electrical)
* Maintain systems including conveyors, bearings, motors, and gearboxes
* Support site services (compressed air, boilers, cooling, refrigeration)
* Contribute to continuous improvement and downtime reduction
About You
* Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship
* Strong mechanical background in heavy manufacturing/production
* Basic electrical fault-finding skills
* Experience with steam/HPHW systems (desirable)
