An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Building Surveyor to join a large andplex estate environment on an initial 6‑month temporary contract, with the strong potential for extension.This role is ideally suited to a candidate who can hit the ground running and is confident delivering refurbishment, alteration and minor works projects within a fast-paced, stakeholder-rich setting.
Your new role
Working as part of a well-established projects team, you will provide a building surveying design and project management service across a diverse portfolio of live schemes.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing multiple refurbishment, alteration and planned maintenance projects simultaneously
2. Leading projects from brief development through topletion
3. Producing cost-effective design solutions and technical documentation
4. Acting as Contract Administrator under JCT forms of contract
5. Managing internal resources and external consultants
6. Controlling project budgets in line with organisational and financialernance
7. Acting as Principal Designer under CDM regulations and the Building Safety Act, where required
8. Ensuring excellent health & safetypliance across all works
9. Maintaining effectivemunication with a wide range of stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
10. Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
11. Full membership of a relevant professional body ( RICS or equivalent)
12. Proven experience deliveringplex refurbishment and alteration projects end to end
13. Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts and UK construction regulations
14. Proficiency in AutoCAD, NBS Create and MS Office 365 (including MS Project)
15. Strongmunication, organisational and problem-solving skills
