We are currently recruiting a Quality Technician to join a busy engineering company in the Ipswich area on a temporary ongoing contract. You will ensure products and processes meet established standards by conducting inspections, audits, tests and reporting findings to improve quality. Duties will include: * Audit both process and product, identifying and investigating quality deficiencies * Establish root cause and solution * Collaborate with Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering to prevent and resolve quality deficiencies * Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), root cause analysis and quality standards/systems * Provide immediate response to line stoppages * Set and maintain standards for subjective quality characteristics * Conduct inspections on parts and measure parts accurately using appropriate methods * Inspect products/materials at various production stages to ensure compliance with specification * Conduct tests and measurements using specialised tools/equipment where required (e.g. welded components, oil cleanliness, product functionality) * Document and report findings and maintain quality records Ideal candidates will have: * Education to at least a Level 3 qualification in a relevant Engineering field * Previous experience within an Engineering quality environment * The ability to read and understand Engineering drawings; * Good working knowledge of qu...
