The Opportunity
Due to project demand an opportunity has become available for a successful PDMS designer to join a team delivering nationally significant engineering projects, making a real-world impact. As PDMS Designer you will work with cutting-edge tools, collaborate across disciplines and contribute to the future of UK’s energy and infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities
* Design of installable CE&I cable route infrastructure / plant layouts that can be safely installed and subsequently populated with cables.
* Producing and understanding a range of electrical deliverables such as control schematics, single line diagrams, cable block diagrams, cable schedules, lighting and small power circuits, earthing schemes etc.
* Input into instrument hook-ups and loop diagrams
* Ensuring all relevant standards, instructions and specifications are applied.
* Interfacing with other disciplines to ensure optimised design.
* Checking of other designers’ deliverables
Qualifications
* An experienced PDMS user, particularly in CE&I aspects including the production of automated drawings from the 3D model.
* Have experience of CE&I design working within a highly regulated industry.
* Be fully conversant with UK Statutory Regulations and industry guides and standards
* PDMS, Navisworks Freedom Viewer, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
* CAESAR/Aveva experience
