The Role
Do you have hands-on experience with power distribution systems? Are you ready to lead complex electrical projects from design to delivery? We’re looking for an experienced Power Distribution Engineer to join our team in Abercarn.
This role is suitable for someone confident in project delivery, electrical analysis, and team management on high-impact infrastructure projects.
You will be responsible for designing, managing, and improving power distribution systems across our client sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet safety and compliance standards. You will liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure work is transparent, efficient, and meets technical expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design and upgrade 12kV power distribution systems
* Conduct system analysis and produce technical recommendations
* Lead site surveys and manage on-site installation teams
* Coordinate preventative maintenance programmes
* Perform troubleshooting and fault investigations
* Produce project reports and technical documentation
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

The Person
* Degree in Electrical Engineering (Chartered Engineer status desirable)
* Strong background in power distribution and substation systems
* Knowledge of earthing design and power system studies
* Skilled in managing people and projects
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and use relevant software (e.g., Inventor, Microsoft Office)
* Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills
* Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings
