Job Description
The RoleAs Finance Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of income accounting and collection, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement across processes.You will play a pivotal role in:
3. Managing rent and service charge income processes
4. Driving effective income collection and rent recovery strategies
5. Leading and developing a team of Finance Officers
6. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and audit standards
7. Delivering accurate reconciliations and financial reporting
Key Responsibilities
8. Oversee the end-to-end processing of rent, service charges, and other income streams
9. Lead on rent arrears monitoring, income recovery, and bad debt management
10. Ensure accurate service charge accounting, including annual reviews and adjustments
11. Manage income reconciliation, banking operations, and financial controls
12. Develop and implement strategies to maximise income collection
13. Improve and streamline finance systems and processes
14. Produce high-quality financial insights and reports for senior stakeholders
15. Act as a key liaison with internal teams, auditors, and external partners
16. Lead, coach, and develop a team to deliver excellent performance
The Successful Applicant

17. Proven experience in service charge accounting
18. Strong background in rent recovery / income management / arrears
19. Experience working in housing, public sector, or a similar environment
20. Demonstrable leadership and team management experience
21. Strong financial reconciliation and reporting skills

23. Experience with financial systems and process improvement
24. Professional finance qualification (or equivalent experience)
