The Role
We are recruiting a Chef to join our Airport Lounge Hospitality Team. Our lounges offer passengers the best start to their journey. Watch our lounges here: Video Link. See our colleagues in action here: Video Link.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Follow recipes and product directions for preparing and cooking various foods.
2. Operate kitchen equipment efficiently.
3. Prepare foods, including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding.
4. Maintain food presentation standards.
5. Manage stock levels, receive supplies, ensure proper storage, rotate stock, and maintain inventory.
6. Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met, including cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and surfaces.
7. Dispose of waste properly, including recycling.
8. Collaborate with subcontracted suppliers, airline representatives, handling agents, and booking agents to ensure smooth operations.
9. Assist in training new staff to uphold high standards of presentation, hospitality, and service.
Success Criteria
Ideal candidates will have:
* Experience in hospitality and high-end service sectors.
* Excellent customer service skills and a team-oriented approach.
* Flexibility to work long hours and varied shifts, including early mornings (as early as 2:00 am) and late evenings (up to 11:00 pm).
* Strong numerical and analytical skills to interpret performance data.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work independently and build positive relationships internally and externally.
Our lounges operate 7 days a week, and successful candidates will work across different shifts.
