Connex Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and qualified Teacher of Music to join a vibrant secondary school in South Birmingham. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the summer term, with potential for extension or a permanent position for the right candidate.
Position Details:
* Role: Teacher of Music (KS3 & KS4)
* Location:South Birmingham, near to the B14 area
* Start Date: ASAP
* Duration: Until end of summer term (with possible extension)
* Salary: £765 – £1,110 per week (dependent on experience, paid to scale via PAYE)
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music teacher with QTS to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management, a commitment to high standards, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. A confident use of IT in teaching is also essential.
Candidate Requirements:
* QTS/QTLS (or equivalent)
* Experience teaching Music in secondary schools (KS3 and KS4)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Strong behaviour management
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
* Applications are welcomed from ECTs and experienced teachers alike
