About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated person to work on a permanent basis within one of our Extra Care schemes as an Extra Care Support Worker. The role is 21 hours per week, with shifts running from 15:00 to 21:30. The successful applicant will join a well-established team to deliver high quality care to individuals in their own homes. You will work on a fixed 4‑week rota which will include weekends and bank holidays.
Responsibilities
* Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
* Promote tenant’s independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the best standards of care
* Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of the care and support provided to tenants
* Provide support to access third‑party and NHS services
* Be a strong team player and work on own initiative when needed
* Promote lifestyle choice, offering individuals the opportunity and motivation to retain independence and stay in control of their lives
About You
Previous experience of working in care would be an advantage, but a commitment to deliver quality care is essential and full training will be provided. This opportunity is ideal for an individual aiming to develop their career and gain hands‑on experience in a thriving and friendly workplace.
Pay and Benefits
This post attracts a welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce. This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria. Your commitment deserves recognition – we offer additional pay enhancements for shifts worked during weekends, nights, and bank holidays.
About the Team
Extra Care Housing is for adults, who have some care needs, with an assured tenancy in a self‑contained flat in a purpose‑built or adapted scheme. Our extra‑care housing services have been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in June 2022.
