We're looking for a Marketing Manager with the right mix of creativity, drive, and strategic thinking to join our team in Carlisle!
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a rewarding role within a small, friendly team—playing a key part in shaping how we connect with our audience and support the growth of Cumbrian businesses.
The role focuses on developing and delivering effective marketing and communications strategies and activities for the Chamber, Cumbria Business Growth Hub, Made in Cumbria, and other initiatives and brands across the business (both B2B and B2C). You’ll need to engage actively with, provide services to, and ensure the buy-in and active engagement of SMT members and wider teams responsible for those activities.
We're looking for someone eager to play a key role in driving the Chamber and its activities forward, building on past successes and leveraging developing technologies and opportunities.
Principal Accountabilities: Overall responsibility for marketing & communications strategy and planning, the look and feel of campaigns, and brand management
Developing and implementing marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns, including budgets, to raise profile and encourage engagement in activities, networking, and business improvement
Creating promotional resources such as leaflets, flyers, case studies, stands, magazines, e-shots, etc.
Developing, producing, and circulating online and offline communications, web content, multimedia assets including podcasts
Managing websites to ensure effective user experience and SEO
Acting as brand champion, ensuring consistency in tone and branding guidelines
Branding control and approval of promotional materials, working with funders, sponsors, and partners
Supporting colleagues and subcontractors with contact development and system improvements
Maintaining records and reporting on marketing activities and performance
Organising or supporting events of various scales
Conducting research and analysis
Reviewing technologies and opportunities in digital marketing
Managing membership records and communications
Working with the membership team on member services
Reporting to the Board
Performing additional activities to support the company
