Purpose
The Field Application Specialist ICP-MS supports the Sales Organization in achieving defined sales targets for selected product lines by providing technical and applications expertise during the sales process.
We welcome applications from lab scientists with ICP-MS experience seeking a career change.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver high-level demos and sample analyses in coordination with Sales Team Leaders and Account Managers.
2. Assist Sales Professionals in assessing customer needs, differentiating PerkinElmer’s value proposition, handling objections, and closing sales.
3. Define standards for demonstrations, sales training, and presentation materials with leadership.
4. Train Sales Professionals and third-party agents/dealers on products and applications; develop their skills for demonstrations and independent selling.
5. Provide competitive intelligence and market analysis to the Product Management team.
6. Collaborate with customers to develop content and applications for marketing collateral to increase win rates and opportunities.
7. Support local Sales teams with technical quotes and configurations that meet customer needs and instrument specifications.
8. Assist Service partners in developing training materials for high-level customer training.
9. Manage the demo inventory for defined product lines, ensuring proper condition and placement.
10. Build a strong customer reference list.

Education and Experience:
1. Advanced Degree in Science, Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
2. Essential experience and knowledge of ICP-MS.
3. Ability to define and promote customer solutions that add value.
4. Relationship-building skills.
5. Team player with internal process knowledge.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Willingness to travel across UK & Ireland.
8. Proficiency in English (very good level).
Computer Skills:
1. Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project.
2. Familiarity with email and online tools (Internet and intranet).
Communication Skills:
1. Good verbal and written communication skills for meetings, conference calls, documentation, lectures, presentations, and training sessions for diverse audiences.
