This role involves supporting children and adolescents with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and other additional needs. You will play a vital role in helping young people feel safe, understood, and supported in their daily lives. The Role As a Mental Health Healthcare Assistant, you will: * Provide consistent emotional support and reassurance to children experiencing anxiety, distress, or behavioural challenges. * Support children with autism and ADHD to manage routines, transitions, and sensory sensitivities. * Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mealtimes, hygiene, and maintaining a structured routine. * Implement behaviour support plans and positive behaviour strategies in line with care plans. * Safely manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using PMVA techniques where necessary. * Maintain accurate, clear, and timely records of care provided and incidents. * Promote a safe, nurturing, structured, and stimulating environment tailored to individual needs.
