About the Role
This role is responsible for delivering a broad range of professional property services across a diverse client portfolio, including acquisitions, leases, lettings, disposals, compensation claims and temporary land use. The role will manage complex property transactions and programmes to agreed budgets, ensuring the portfolio is managed efficiently and aligned to business priorities.
The role also involves delivering practical, commercially focused property solutions with stakeholders, acting as a trusted technical lead, and supporting the wider Property Services strategy through innovation and sustainable property solutions.
Responsibilities
• Deliver and manage property transactions and programmes within budget.
• Provide expert guidance on property matters across a wide range of issues.
• Build and manage relationships with external agents, consultants and solicitors.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation and best practice in the wider Property Services strategy.
• Support sustainable property solutions that enhance safe working environments and critical operations.
Required Qualifications
* Educated to HNC / HND level or equivalent in Building Studies
* Experience in surveying asset property portfolios
* Computer literate, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Strong communication skills
* Full driving licence
Desirable Qualifications
* STE05 Qualification
* Understanding of track safety and railway possession regime
* Experience surveying property within the public sector transport environment or similar
* Experience in property asset management & data collection systems (Atrium/OPAS and SDE)
* Degree level education
* Knowledge/use of AutoCAD
* Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent (CIOB)
* Land surveying/Total Stations/3D Modelling
* Effective time management
