CNC Miller - Setter/Operator
Overview
My client is looking for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator (Milling) to join their precision machining production team. This is a hands-on role focused on setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components in line with aerospace and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Set and operate CNC milling machines to drawing and customer requirements
* Ensure components are produced accurately, safely and efficiently
* Maximise stock utilisation while minimising scrap and waste
* Accurately record production data on stock control systems and documentation
* Maintain clear identification of all materials and finished components
* Adhere to all health, safety, quality and working procedures
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the shopfloor
* Assist with training and supporting other operatives when required
Key Requirements
* Proven experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and cutting patterns
* Strong understanding of materials, machining processes and stock handling
* Good working knowledge of health and safety and quality procedures
* PC literate with accurate record-keeping skills
* Reliable, self-motivated and quality-focused approach to work
