Our client, a leading healthcare provider in the heart of Port Talbot, is seeking a passionate and empathetic Part‑time Healthcare Support Worker to join their dedicated team. As a Part‑time Healthcare Support Worker in Port Talbot, you'll be playing a vital role in supporting our clients' health and wellbeing. Based in our modern, state‑of‑the‑art facility, you'll work closely with our nursing staff to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality of care. Whether it's assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, or helping to create a warm and welcoming environment, your contribution will be invaluable.

Responsibilities

* Assist clients with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping to create a warm and welcoming environment
* Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure that clients' healthcare needs are met
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to client care
* Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve your skills and knowledge
* Adhere to all relevant health and safety procedures to ensure the safety of clients and colleagues
* Demonstrate a genuine commitment to providing high‑quality, person‑centred care


Qualifications

* Previous experience in a healthcare or social care setting is preferred, but not essential
* A caring, compassionate, and empathetic nature, with a strong desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
* A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* A commitment to ongoing learning and development to enhance your skills and knowledge
* A valid driver's licence and access to a car would be an advantage, as the role may involve some travel within the local area
