You'll be contracted for a minimum of 8 hours per week, with a competitive hourly rate of £12.21 (pay award pending) — and plenty of additional shifts available. As part of our relief team, flexibility is key: you'll be available Monday to Sunday, working both days and nights, supporting a variety of sites across the city. You'll report directly to the Security Shift Manager.
We are especially keen to hear from officers who drive and have an interest in alarm response or driving-based duties — full training provided.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Security Officer, you'll be the welcoming face and first point of contact for customers, clients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
15. Maintaining strong situational and geographical awareness of the site and surroundings
16. Conducting regular external patrols in all weather conditions
17. Identifying and responding to suspicious behaviour or potential security threats
18. Taking control of incidents until emergency services arrive
19. Reporting all incidents clearly and promptly to the Security Shift Manager

Retail security experience is a bonus — but not essential.
You'll also have a good understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal and Civil Law, and the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.

32. SIA Licence – Door Supervisor preferred (CCTV licence ideal)
