Position Overview
1 year temporary post
Salary: £28,011 to £30,230 (pro‑rata)
Working hours: 36 hours over 5 days
Schedule: Monday 9am‑5pm, Tuesday 9am‑5pm, Wednesday 9am‑5pm, Thursday 9am‑4pm, Friday 9am‑5pm
Location: Number 11 in Dalkeith to support the Joint Mental Health Team, Substance Use Service and Justice, and provide cover to services within Midlothian HSCP when needed.
Responsibilities
Provide high quality administrative support to the Midlothian Joint Mental Health Team.
Provide support to the multi‑disciplinary team and those who experience our services. Competent use of TRAK and G2 is essential.
Undertake a range of clerical and administrative duties required to maintain the smooth running of the department.
Provide a meet and greet service at Number 11 Reception.
Qualifications & Experience
* HNC/SVQIII in Secretarial Studies / Business Administration or equivalent experience.
* Advanced keyboard skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
* Good organisational skills.
* Good working knowledge of computer software packages.
* Good working knowledge of G2.
* Medical terminology.
* Good awareness of trauma‑informed practice.
Additional Requirements
* PVG Scheme membership/record. If not a current member for the required regulatory group (i.e., child and/or adult), application will be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before beginning in post.
* Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check. If the post is assessed as a regulated role, your appointment will be subject to joining the PVG Scheme.
