Chef De Partie, Hotel Du Vin
Rate of Pay / Hours: £13.15/hour, 40 hours/week
Type of Contract: Full-time, permanent
Location: Winchester
Hotel Du Vin is looking for Chef De Partie with immediate starts available.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook dishes to specifications in a high-volume kitchen.
* Follow recipes and SOPs accurately to produce high-quality dishes.
* Work as part of a team and collaborate with other kitchen staff.
* Maintain outstanding food safety and sanitation practices.
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
* Manage time effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Take direction from the Sous Chef and Head Chef and assist in the overall kitchen operation.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
* Keep your workstation clean and organized.
* Collaborate with other departments such as Food & Beverage, banquet and catering.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or line cook in a high-volume kitchen.
* Strong background in a specific culinary area such as pastry, grill, sauté, or pantry.
* Experience working in a team-oriented environment and collaborating with kitchen staff.
* Excellent culinary skills and proficiency in a specific culinary station.
* Ability to follow recipes and SOPs and consistently produce high-quality dishes.
* Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
* Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to take direction from the Sous Chef and Head Chef and assist in the overall kitchen operation.
* Ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
* Ability to maintain a clean and organised workstation.
* Ability to collaborate with other departments such as food and beverage, banquet, and catering.
