Role: Project Manager / Contracts Manager (Electrical)

A well-established electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Contracts Manager to manage electrical packages across multiple projects within the Midlands region. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, autonomy, and the chance to play a key role in project delivery and team leadership.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of projects, client relationships, commercial performance, and team development, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Understand client requirements and deliver a seamless service across all projects
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, site management, and professional teams
* Manage and support site project managers and project teams, mentoring where required
* Maintain strong commercial awareness throughout project delivery, maximising opportunities and supporting valuations and compensation events
* Build and sustain effective project teams with a balance of skills and experience

Review and continually improve project delivery, quality, and safety performance
* Vet, monitor, and manage the supply chain and direct labour workforce
* Compile bi-weekly and monthly project reports covering all aspects of delivery and performance
* Present project updates and reports to senior management
* Drive continuous improvement in line with client requirements
* Deliver projects to client satisfaction with zero snags at handover
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
* Ensure all project personnel are competent and suitably trained
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior Project Manager or Contracts Manager role
* Strong background managing electrical packages within construction or building services
* Commercially astute with strong programme management skills
* Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing project teams
* Strong IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
* Ability to manage, track, and report against project programmes • Flexible approach to travel and site visits
Qualifications
* Relevant electrical or construction qualification (preferred)
* SMSTS or SSSTS
* CSCS Card
* Full UK driving licence
