Our client is an esteemed UK specialist in the design and production of precision gearing systems and gearboxes.
The Role
To support the Quality Department in ensuring that manufactured products and processes comply with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. The Junior Quality Engineer assists with inspection, documentation, non-conformance resolution, and quality improvement activities under the guidance of senior quality team members.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Inspection Support:
* Assist with the review of product inspection reports and documentation (e.g. first-off, in-process, and final inspection).
* Support the compilation and submission of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102.
* Help ensure quality records are accurate, complete, and properly archived.
Non-Conformance Management:
* Log and track internal and supplier non-conformances (NCRs) within the quality management system.
* Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes (e.g. 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams) under supervision.
* Follow up on action closure and effectiveness monitoring.
