Overview
Are you an experienced manager working in a social care setting, looking for a new challenge and ready to take the lead in a small, person‑centred service supporting adults with a learning disability or autism? Russell Street is looking for a confident, compassionate leader to oversee the day‑to‑day running of our residential and respite provision, reporting to the Registered Manager.
Russell Street is a welcoming, homely service located in a quiet residential area just a short walk from Cambridge railway station, with onsite parking available. The service provides long‑term home for 4 residents and 4 respite beds offering short‑term support to adults across Cambridgeshire. Youll be joining the wider InHouse Provider Services Team, which includes residential, respite, supported living, day services, Shared Lives and outreach support.
Responsibilities
Youll be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of InHouse Provider Services, overseeing the residential and respite service at 40/44 Russell Street Cambridge. This includes ensuring safe and high‑quality service delivery and maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and CCC policies. Youll review and improve service delivery, manage risks, oversee health and safety, handle referrals, complaints and operational issues, and work closely with people who use services, families, professionals and partners.
You will also monitor budgets and resources, maintain service utilisation information, and support the Registered Manager with quality assurance, reporting and service development. You will be leading and supervising our Lead Support staff and Service Co‑ordinator and managing HR processes as required. You will bring a solid understanding of adult social care legislation and best practice, including the Mental Capacity Act, Care Act, safeguarding and CQC standards, alongside experience in managing complex support arrangements and leading staff teams.
Qualifications
A Level 4 qualification in Leadership and Management in Adult Care (or equivalent) is essential, with Level 5 desirable, but we welcome applicants with strong transferable leadership skills from related sectors who can demonstrate the ability to manage people, work collaboratively, handle risk, and deliver high‑quality, person‑centred services.
