Position: Physics Teacher Location: Nottingham Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stages: KS3–KS5 Physics Teaching Role in a Multi-Academy Trust School A secondary school within a multi-academy trust in Nottingham is seeking to appoint a Physics Teacher to join its Science department from September. This is a full-time role within a school that is focused on academic progress, collaboration, and high-quality STEM education. Physics is a valued subject within the curriculum, with students encouraged to develop analytical thinking, scientific reasoning, and practical investigative skills. About the Role You will teach Physics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering lessons that cover key topics including forces, electricity, energy, waves, and particle physics. The role includes both theoretical teaching and practical laboratory work, helping students develop experimental skills and scientific understanding. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Physics examinations, supporting them in developing confidence in calculations, problem-solving, and extended written responses. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the trust to share resources and maintain consistent teaching standards. Key Responsibilities Teach Physics across KS3, KS4, and KS5 Deliver lessons covering key areas of Physics Plan and supervise practical laboratory activities Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Physics examinations Assess student work and provide detailed feedback Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Maintain safe laboratory environments Contribute to departmental planning and STEM enrichment activities The School Environment This multi-academy trust secondary school in Nottingham provides a structured and supportive environment with a strong focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
