Rate of Pay : £18.35 per hour Summary: The Waste Delivery Project Assistant supports the delivery of waste infrastructure projects throughout Lincolnshire, ensuring the County Council fulfills its role as the Waste Disposal Authority effectively and within budget. This role involves managing the maintenance of essential facilities—including five Waste Transfer Stations (WTSs), eleven Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs), and five closed landfills—while ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety, CDM 2015, and Environment Agency requirements. The post holder acts as a technical lead, managing asset infrastructure plans, designing engineering solutions, and supervising construction sites to improve operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Assist in the delivery of major waste infrastructure projects, such as Anaerobic Digestion Plants, HWRCs, and WTSs. Supervise capital construction sites using NEC3/4 contracts, with full autonomy and responsibility for site supervision matters on large projects. Produce engineering drawings using AutoCAD and conduct drainage design calculations/Flood Risk Assessments using the Windes IT package Ensure all procurement is legally compliant with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the Councils internal procurement rules. Represent Waste Services in legal matters and accident claims, including appearing in court when required. Qualifications: Minimum qualification of IEng/EngTech in Civil Engineering. Essentials: 3 years of experience in carrying out safety and condition inspections. 3 years of experience in managing minor works maintenance projects and developing capital projects with a focus on complex site design. 3 years of experience applying NEC3/4 contracts in project delivery. Experienced practitioner in AutoCAD and Windes Drainage Design IT packages. Experience in making Planning Applications under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
