Location: Eastleigh House and other Eastleigh Borough Council sites, some hybrid working.
Salary: £34,857 (Band 5) per year.

Role Summary
The successful applicant will support the Corporate Health and Safety Manager in providing comprehensive technical advice and guidance across a broad spectrum of activities and services, ensuring the Council meets its statutory health and safety duties and promotes a safety‑first culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide assistance and support to the Corporate Health and Safety Manager with health and safety advice and guidance to managers, employees and councillors.
* Prepare reports and review policies and procedures.
* Work at various Council sites, including the Depot, country parks, theatres and housing landlord services.
* Update and review databases related to incidents, DSE, lone working and support training delivery.
* Conduct audit reviews and health and safety compliance checks.
* Keep up to date with statutory guidance, legislation and professional standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
* A Level English and Maths or equivalent (NVQ Level 3)
* NVQ Level 2 ICT
* NEBOSH National General Certificate – essential or working towards it.
* Membership of IOSH Technical Grade or working towards it.
* NEBOSH Health and Safety Management (Construction) – desirable.
* Passion for driving health and safety compliance.
* Good communication and administration skills.
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, consistency and data analysis ability.
* Competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
