Job Summary

Are you a proactive individual with a passion for supporting mental health care? The Mental Health Team (MHT) at Leuchars Station is currently searching for a dedicated part-time Administration Officer to be an essential part of our dynamic team!

This position offers 18.5 hours per week. The working pattern will be Monday 8.00-15.00, Wednesday 08.00-15.00 and Thursday 08.00-12.30.

Strategic Command Transformation

Strategic Command is going through a significant transformation programme which aims to improve the way the Command conducts its business and delivers for Defence and the nation. As a consequence of this, all posts within Strategic Command Headquarters and in time the wider organisation, are/will be subject to review and potential changes as we continuously improve across the period of the transformation programme. These changes may be minor or could be more substantive and will generate new opportunities. Job Description

A chosen candidate will be responsible for providing a high standard of administrative support to the Mental Health Team (MHT). They will work to the direction of the Executive Officer (EO) Practice Manager to support the clinical staff based within the Department of Community Mental Health (DCMH). They will be responsible for all administrative requirements for both new and current patient caseloads which includes liaison with other Medical Centres and outside agencies as well as managing clinical diaries and clinics, answering telephone queries, booking medical documents in/out, dealing with the post, and sending and receiving faxes/emails.

Person specification

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

* providing full administrative support to all doctors, clinical staff, and reception duties within the DCMH. This will include managing clinics and organisation and management of appointments
* liaise with stakeholder units, providing recall and statistical data when requested
* covering the reception duties and ensures that a high standard of administrative support is maintained to allow a safe and effective delivery of Mental Healthcare
* providing administrative advice on all aspects of Occupational and routine documentation ensuring all aspects of the Data Protection Act and Confidentiality are adhered to
