About the role
Join our dynamic and supportive team as an UK Payroll Manager. As a Payroll Manager at PwC, you will play a crucial role in overseeing complex payroll processes for our clients. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of UK payroll legislation, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to manage a team efficiently. The Payroll Manager will ensure compliance, accuracy, and timeliness in payroll operations.
What your days will look like:
1. Lead, mentor, and grow the payroll team to ensure high performance and continuous professional development.
2. Manage end-to-end payroll processes across multiple clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with UK legislation.
3. Build strong client relationships and provide expert guidance on payroll matters, including regulatory updates.
4. Ensure legal compliance, deliver detailed payroll reports, and stay current with legislative changes to implement necessary updates.
5. Drive efficiency by evaluating and enhancing payroll systems and processes, and contribute to business development initiatives.
This role is for you if:
6. Proven experience as a Payroll Manager within large organisations or accountancy firms, with deep knowledge of UK payroll legislation and best practices.
7. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Skilled in managing complex payroll systems and data, with a sharp analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
9. Familiar with payroll software and systems, with advanced IT proficiency considered a strong asset.
10. Must possess a CIPP Qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
11. Brings added value through experience with international payroll operations.
