Job Title:Teaching Assistant – Mainstream & SEN Schools
Pay Rate:£95.00 per day
Location:Kettering – Mainstream & Specialist SEND Schools
Hours:Full-Time | Day-to-Day Supply | Term Time Only
Smart Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils in both mainstream and specialist SEND schools in Kettering. The role focuses on helping learners with a variety of needs, from typical primary pupils to those with SEN and complex learning requirements, in a structured and inclusive environment.

Job Requirements:• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)• Experience supporting pupils with SEN and/or complex needs (essential)• Calm, patient, and adaptable approach• Strong communication and teamwork skills• Child or Child/Adult DBS (or willingness to obtain)• Valid passport• Ability to provide 24 months of employer or academic references
Role Responsibilities:• Support pupils in class, small groups, or 1:1 as required• Assist with learning activities, behaviour support, and individual plans• Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning• Support social, emotional, and academic development• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external specialists• Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
