As a traffic marshall, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of traffic on our construction site. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the movement of vehicles, equipment, and personnel in and around the site, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times. You will work closely with our site management team to implement and enforce traffic management plans, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Directing vehicles, including delivery trucks, construction vehicles, and staff vehicles, to designated areas within the site.
2. Managing the flow of traffic to prevent congestion and maintain efficient operations.
3. Communicating effectively with drivers and site personnel to ensure safe and orderly movement.
4. Implementing and enforcing traffic management plans, including the use of signage, barriers, and designated routes.
5. Monitoring and controlling access points to the site, ensuring only authorized personnel and vehicles enter.
6. Conducting regular inspections of traffic control measures and reporting any issues or hazards to the site management team.
7. Assisting with general site duties and supporting other team members as required.
Requirements:
8. Valid CSCS card.
9. Traffic marshall certification (NPORS or equivalent).
10. Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
11. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
12. Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
13. Confident IT skills.
