We’re Hiring : CNC Operator Make the extraordinary, everlasting — with us. At Event Concept, we craft extraordinary experiences that leave a lasting impression — not just for our clients, but for our people too. We blend the big ideas of a creative agency with the meticulous execution of a production company, bringing bold, imaginative events to life. We’re collaborative, down-to-earth, and serious about delivering quality — all while finding time for lightness and fun. If you’re someone who’s curious, adaptable and excited to do meaningful work with a team that’s got your back, we’d love to hear from you. About the Role We’re looking for a CNC Operator to join our Scenic Workshop team. Reporting into our Scenic Workshop Manager, you’ll be setting up, operating, and maintaining our 3-axis flatbed CNC machine — playing a key role in transforming creative designs into high-quality scenic builds. You’ll work closely with our technical designer, carpenters, and scenic production teams, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional standards across every project. This role can also offer the opportunity to expand your skills into other workshop disciplines, such as scenic carpentry, when the CNC machine is not in use. You’ll Thrive Here If You… Have hands-on experience operating CNC machines. Are comfortable reading and interpreting CAD drawings and production orders. Are a team player who’s happy to pitch in wherever needed. Have a working knowledge of CAD software ( EnRoute experience is a plus, but not essential). Have carpentry or finishing skills to assist the workshop team during downtime. Take pride in precision and quality, double-checking every cut and finish. Care about safety, following protocols, and keeping the workshop running smoothly. Are curious about developing new CNC applications and helping the team get the most out of the technology. You don’t have to tick every box — we care just as much about curiosity, adaptability and a growth mindset as we do experience on paper. What You’ll Be Doing Setting up and operating the CNC machine using technical drawings from the drafts team. Reading and interpreting production orders and CAD files to ensure accurate cutting and shaping. Operating CNC machines and tools safely, following manufacturer guidance and H&S protocols. Checking cutting tools, materials, and finished work to meet specifications. Carrying out daily maintenance checks and coordinating scheduled servicing with third-party contractors. Identifying and reporting any machine or accessory faults promptly. Working with the Scenic Operations Manager and Scenic Workshop Manager to improve workflows and stock processes through CNC use. Supporting other workshop tasks during CNC downtime. Following all company Health & Safety policies and proactively reporting concerns. Keeping up to date with new CNC techniques, tooling, and materials that could enhance production capabilities.
