Engineering recruitment specialist for Special Projects & Process Industries - Yorkshire & NE Lincolnshire
Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of electrical control systems? Our client – a long-established, family-owned business with over 60 years of engineering excellence – is looking for a Principal Engineer to head up their design team.
This is more than a design role — it’s your chance to influence innovation, mentor a skilled team, and drive real impact across diverse, high-profile projects. You’ll be joining a company known for quality, collaboration, and a commitment to people.
What you’ll do
Lead design, planning & delivery of complex control panel projects
Mentor and grow a team of 5 design engineers
Drive continuous improvement in cost, quality & process
Identify emerging tech to give customers a competitive edge
Be the technical voice of reason from workshop to boardroom
What you bring
️ Deep technical knowledge of electrical systems (control panel experience ideal)
️ Strong CAD skills and systems know-how
️ Proven team leadership in a quality-first environment
️ Communication superpowers – across teams and with clients
