Main area Nursing and Midwifery. NHS AfC: Band 6. Contract: Permanent. Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Full time and part time options available. Job ref 214-UEC-7464806. Employer: Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Site: King's Mill Hospital, Sutton-in-Ashfield. Salary: £38,682 - £46,580 per annum pro rata (Yearly).

Job overview

We are recruiting Deputy Sister/Charge Nurses to join our Emergency Department. We seek enthusiastic, highly motivated Registered Nurses who demonstrate leadership in Emergency Nursing. The department is innovative and dynamic, with strong performance in quality indicators and a track record of recognition. The role involves coordinating the department on a daily basis to support the team in delivering high standards of patient care. As part of the senior nursing team, you will help maintain a supportive and proactive working environment and will be involved in service improvement, training and education, appraisals and staff recruitment and retention. Your own learning will be supported with guidance from the Lead Nursing team to address your developmental needs.

Knowledge Requirements

Qualifications

* First-level (staff) Registered Nurse
* Evidence of personal and professional development in critical care practice/management
* Diploma level study, or willingness to undertake


Experience

* Experience within Accident & Emergency
