We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient and nurturing Year 3 Class Teacher to join our supportive team in Salisbury after Easter. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to make a real difference in a vibrant and rewarding Key Stage 2 setting.
About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 3 class which benefits from the consistent support of a full-time Teaching Assistant. The class includes pupils who require additional support, so applicants should have a strong understanding of SEN needs and be confident in managing behavioural challenges using positive and restorative approaches.
This role would suit someone who is:
* Calm, patient and consistent in their behaviour management
* Experienced or confident in supporting pupils with additional needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
* Committed to creating an inclusive, structured and engaging learning environment
* A strong team player who works well with support staff and external professionals
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
* Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs, including SEN
* Build positive relationships with pupils to promote progress and wellbeing
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
* Work collaboratively with the Teaching Assistant to support all learners
* Liaise effectively with parents, colleagues, and external agencies
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience in KS2 (Year 3 desirable but not essential)
* A secure understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching
* Confidence managing behaviour in a positive, proactive way
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
